THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT IS AWESOME!!!!

Just kidding mom and dad. Not that kind of Red Light District....

But the Sous le Plus Grand Chapiteau du Monde in the Louvre is still pretty awesome (it's literally a red pillar of light, haha RED light district get it?).

We got up this morning and had some recovery ramen in Japan-town before heading over to the Louvre. Sooo effin good!! I've noticed that there's a ton of Asians in Paris, and it seems as though I've finally found their secret hideout. The restaurants in this city all may appear small and cramped AF at first, but then you realize that there's usually a basement level or two that seats more customers. The food in the Japanese district's pretty reasonably priced as well, especially for lunch. For less than 14 euros, we literally had to walk off our meal at the Louvre all day.

Okay for those skeptics/nonbelievers (beliebers) like we were, the Louvre actually cannot be accomplished in one sitting (maybe not even two or three sittings). This place is HUGE. Like I can't even describe to you in words how impressive it is. Of course we sped through the first gallery to get to Mona, but honestly we sadly weren't that impressed once we saw her. Yes, thousands of years worth of art critics are rolling over in their graves right now, but in my mind it's still totally overrated.

1. That's not even the real Mona Lisa on display. It's been a fake one there for 10 years now.

2. It's small AF.

3. You literally have to use evasive-front-row-barrier-of-a-concert maneuvers to get to the protective railing of the Mona Lisa to take your #MonaLisaSelfie, because of all the Asian tourists in your way.

However, it was a pretty cool experience all in all, and I'm glad we took the time to wander the exhibits and get lost. There's so much history lining these walls, and you can even take a walk through Napoleon's apartments if you ~*fancy*~.

Literally the nicest dining room table in the world.

My favorite part of the day, as always, was of course the nighttime. Parisians are very picky about their nights out and refuse to show up at a club before 1 AM. We ended up at Duplex, this trendy spot in the Champs-Élysées district, where it was ladies night so we didn't have to pay cover woooo!! An explosion of deep house hits you as soon as you walk in, and if you're into the oldies as well, they play a good mix of classic dance songs and dirty beats.

We ended up dancing for hours without realizing it and headed back to the hotel around 4 am (the club doesn't close till 6 am though!) so that we could get a few hours of sleep before our flight to Milan. Paris was such a cool city, and I'm soo glad it was our first stop in Europe.

That was blurry AF like the rest of my night, but hey Milan, I'm ready for you!!! I can't wait!!!
